Galucci celebrates its 25th birthday!
We've had a spectacular 25 years at Galucci. The years have simply flown by and they were filled with many challenging, exciting, and fun assignments. There were the types of jobs where you searched endlessly for a very special type of model while other jobs needed a massive input of 450 extras. In short, we've never had a dull moment here at Galucci. I can remember it as if it was yesterday... It was 1989; the year in which I founded Galucci. We had no computers; only a Bakelite landline telephone and analogue photography. Photoshop certainly didn't exist yet either. Things have changed so much over the years. As a recognized model agency we do, of course, move with the times.
As early as 1994, we created the first Galucci website; one of the first in our industry to have one! On the other hand, I really had some trouble back then trying to get our entire model database online. What a task that turned out to be! But it was such a relief too. Before then we had to store all the photographs, portfolios, and composite cards at the office! My heart really went out to whoever had to sort through everything on any given day. If we needed a model with specific measurements or of a specific height we had to check every single folder to find a match. We even had to hire couriers to deliver the required photographs and composite cards to our clients! Quite understandably, the present generation can't even begin to imagine what that was like as so much has changed since then. Now, with our search engine and a fully automated system, we only need to press a few buttons to find a model who meets the requirements set by the client. It also allows us to immediately send the online composite cards through to the client. Everything can and must happen at a faster pace these days. Galucci has managed to keep up with this trend.
Despite all these important changes, one consideration has remained steadfastly the same at Galucci: "personality". Personal contact is a priority for us as, despite the fact that we are surrounded with technology, people are our business. Galucci continues to represent a wide variety of different types of models ranging in body types, looks, and age. Each and every one of these is a fantastic model in their own right. We are committed to representing this diverse range of people as our clients not only represent the fashion industry but also come from the world of advertising and film. This world is shrinking and increasingly more is coming within our reach. Galucci not only operates in the Benelux but the entire globe is quickly becoming "our world". We have sent models to Athens, Bangkok, China, Istanbul, Cape Town, London, Milan, Singapore, and Warsaw... The list goes on. We manage our fashion models from our apartments on location so that they can feel at home in a new city. This also allows us to introduce the world in a fun and versatile manner to the models of Galucci. Throughout the years, I have always felt very protective towards the models and I continue to feel this way. After 25 years, the time has arrived for Galucci to get a new logo and image. It is time for a brand new look for Galucci Models. Bring on the next 25 years! We are ready for it! We hope that you will be joining us on that journey.
